Yousef - AMD's 233 K6 Notebook (Compaq) is the real deal! Good news for the AMD crowd. I happened to go into an Office Depot this afternoon and saw my first Compaq notebook with an AMD K6 inside. It was a Compaq Model 1621, 233 MHz K6 - presumably the 0.25 micron version. List price - $2499. Unfortunately, the machine is saddled with a passive STN LCD display - I guess Compaq is trying to aim this at a lower price point. The display does nothing to enhance the K6 processor. But the good news is that the 0.25 micron K6 is out in the marketplace! Paul
