Here is Zharkovas original 2015 paper on the Suns "heartbeat" published in nature. . It was found to be accurate in prediction. Better the hundreds of other models.

Basically two waveform with slightly different frequencies causing constructive and destructive interference.

There are later developing theories that these cycles are the Suns plasma being influenced by the gravity of the larger planets in the Solar system Jupiter and Neptune. Observers has suggested as such for many generations.

No doubt you will be familier with the output ... a modulated waveform that creates our "Sun Cycle" changes in peak intensity.
