The pendulum will swing back, John. People will notice this climate thing influencing politics will elect candidates not compromised with this stuff.

Ordinary people are concerned about their kids. How their lives are improving or otherwise. Costs of food and insurance.

They will not vote for any climate thing. They will vote with their immediate concerns in mind.

The risk is that the pendulum might swing violently to the opposite side. At that point it won't be safe to go out venting anything climate related.
