good morning
Before getting to a discussion of some information which I hope you'll find useful, I would like to briefly respond to a few issues raised since my last post.
1) Bill: I have no affiliation with Zona, analysts that cover Zona, investors or money managers with a position in Zona, or any other association that would make my motives alterior. From my first post I made clear my own long position, wanted to explain why, and then wanted to engage in a productive, not hostile, discussion that would fairly address the issues. I certainly never meant to mislead anyone.
2) Tokyo: Your memory is incorrect regarding the conference call. Quite to the contrary of your recollection, I made it clear that although an internist, I had a particular focus in HIV/AIDS care. I have cared for thousands of patients with AIDS, frequently been a teaching attending on the AIDS units of two university affiliated hospitals, and served on expert panels in the evaluation of new AIDS drugs. I have never claimed to be a urologist, or an expert in the field of ED; just someone who had reviewed the data and had a point of view--one which was open to discussion.
3) Dr. Voodoo and Poodle: Thank-you for the citations regarding the lack of efficacy in intracavernous phentolamine. It is curious that there is variability among the studies. Is it possible that when a man injects his penis there is a catecholamine response that overcomes the alpha blocking effects of phentolamine? Such a response would not be seen in the oral version.
