Wi-Fi is obviously more convenient than wired Ethernet cables. It is quite easy to use at anytime. But Ethernet still offers advantages — faster speeds, lower latency, and no wireless interference problems.

You probably won’t be connecting an Ethernet cable to your smartphone any time soon. But this matters when dealing with desktop PCs, laptops at desks, game consoles, TV-streaming boxes, and other devices.
So my point is will 5G capability and levels of security dramatically change this?

As Laptops become more popular than desktop and phones and tablets being the main form of digital communication and casual activity will connected Ethernet be around so much longer?

Will 5G or 6G be the death of Ethernet, I think so.
