When I worked at Microsoft everyone had a laptop but not everyone had a desktop. When they attended meetings or conferences on campus or in other cities or while working in hotels, airplanes, trains or ubers while on business trips and even when they were at home they used wireless laptops. In fact most of the desktops at Microsoft were used at test platforms.

Today it is all about mobility. That is why 5G is so important.
