Four years ago, back when it was still only a vision and in the early stages of 3GPP standards setting I started an SI board for discussion of the development and implementation of 5G Networks. I've sorely neglected it. It only has 10 posts but I did make 1 post there in August about Verizon's 5G strategy which includes resumption of expanding its fiber footprint that currently only stretches from Virginia to Massachusetts into a growing number of cities outside that footprint. "Verizon's out-of-ILEC fiber buildout effort now covers more than 60 cities -- a massive undertaking." I do mean to update the board's header shortly and resume some posting there. Others may wish to also participate now that the 5G reality has started to happen. The 5G Wireless and the Internet of Things (IoT) SI board is here ...
