Insufficient yes. Technology, talent, vision, and Execution, however, are a recipe for success (add, I suppose, timing as well). There are no guarantees in life however. Being an avid cheif, I have certainly experienced following a recipe to the letter, and stil had a flop. Having all the pieces neccessary for success does not equal success.
That being said, I believe Del to be a man of vision and an ouotstanding CEO. I credit him with the turn-around of Borland. Also, Borland and Visigenic have good talent and technology. My money is behind them. |
