It depends on how you use TV. It can be a source of the knowledge of the universe.

I have Roku and Youtube on my TV. I learn so much every day. If one types in subjects they are interested in then Youtube's algorithms will continue to send you videos on those subjects.

The first thing I typed in was quantum gravity which still eludes scientists. The second thing I typed in was information on hominids. And then information on nutrition.

I have only had it a year, but have learned sooo much!

I also watch a lot of foreign films on Netflix which is like taking anthropology courses.

TV can be a Great source of knowledge.

I disagree on one thing. Turn off the TV. Life it too short.
