I live in one of the reddest part of a red state. When I moved here, I saw Bush signs on this street. I have never seen a single Trump sign or Trump bumper sticker anywhere in Texas. Not last election and not since. I know only one active Trump supporter here and he came here from Illinois. Trump carried TX out of blind party loyalty and dislike of Hillary. Cruz faced a real challenge from Beto and he shouldn't have. There is a singular lack of Trump love here. Cruz won his 2012 Senate election 56.6 % to 40.6% for the Democrat. Cruz only won the 2018 Senate election by 50.9% to 48.3% for Beto. That difference is because of Trump. He has really hurt the Republican party in TX.
