I understand your points.

Adapting anywhere is possible if one has the money.

There is everything available, anywhere in major urban centers. The difference being that everything is available everywhere in the rich countries.

I lived and worked in all continents barred Canada and the US which I know only as a visitor. That means i rented houses. Sought health care etc etc.

For people like TJ or MQ, who know quite a few foreign countries but as tourists, they can't imagine what life outside their countries.

They form their opinion based on what they read.

Usually it takes 6 weeks for me to feel at home at a new place.

A bit longer in place Iran.
