Have you every wonder about the newspapers and why they are so quick to blame the internet for rumours? Cause the internet offers a quicker, abundant, more vastly opposing dissemination of news... And personally, more reliable than some of the rumours the news papers create. {when was the last time you heard a TV article being promote as a near disaster, only to find out it was nothing big}. Nightly Bussiness News is great for that. From CNBC: "MARKETS DOWN SEVERLY DUE TO CLINTON INDULGENCE", yeah one or two gals, and 23.06 points. Big correlation there.

Further more the interent can undercut the advertising & production cost. The newspapers are dinosaurs, and they don't even know it. This is channel 92 come to you from....

So it's in the best interest of the newspaper, to call the interent a bunch of drunken idle chatter, based on rumour and innuendo. I remeber back when I was on the Gandalf thread. I made a posting that came true. I was hounded by a FP {amanda lang} news reporter so badly that I had to request to my server to block the email. Than she started changing her email address to bypass the filter... So I had to change my account here. I use to be known as someone else. I still have people asking me how I knew, when I knew it... Some wanting to sue me too.

I don't trust the press. And I can't like someone I can't trust. I've been misquoteed once before, and never again.
