YES cheat... took anger out on his minister.. booted her from the party.. Our PM unlike many (most ?) parliaments is NOT elected by MPs.. but by party members.. This gives him far more power.. More like the old Roman Princeps.. and certainly not just First Among Equals as it should be.. remember Our PM is NOT the executive branch as is your prez.. Our Cs can not for a coalition (be propped up by another party.. we don't have official coalitions as Europe and Israel do..) We don't do coalitions... Once I think... as an aside .. a fun factoid... if the idea that our Conservatives used to be called Progressive Conservatives (A Canuck oxymoron ? :)) (still such at the provincial level at least in Ontario ) look at what they were called before becoming progressive LOL en.wikipedia.org There is more.. Our PM is a caricature... Were it not for our Canuck preoccupation with all these American our C party would be viewed as it shouyld be as a centrist party.. They would not be nearly conservative to be labelled otherwise in the US... but effectively the Liberals have convinced much of the electorate that electing a Sheer is like electing a Trump...So far off the mark it is laughable..
