I've probably seen some of those but it must not have registered at the moment. I think I saw some time ago that Seinfeld was filmed before a live audience and they did NOT add a laugh track. All the shows I remember never did annoy me with phony laughter, so maybe it was true.

Those shows that killed the laugh track didn't have laughter because the lines didn't warrant much of a smile, let alone rolling on the floor, ear splitting phony laughter.

Give me those old (very old) Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Carol Burnett shows. Live audience with genuine belly laughter, sometimes including the actors couldn't keep a straight face. That was good comedy.
