Yes, your right. One of my favourite authors is buried a few miles from where I live. he was a comedian, but was a part and parcel of WW2. Just loved his books. en.m.wikipedia.org The inscription that he decided to have on his gravestone was... "I told you I was ill" cause a furor with his local community and church and it was banned... which caused another furor among his supporters and fans... I think it nearly caused another war... but a compromise was reached and it was written in Gaelic. Quite a guy.
