More thoughts on Pt in Ag impurity..... Mike you've got my brain humming now..... Instead of filtering for particles of ammonium chloroplatinate, perhaps a minimum quantity of activated charcoal could be swirled into the solution, presumably the particles would stick to the charcoal. Bright orange on black. Now just get out a high pressure sodium lamp which gives a broad spectrum yellow, close the curtains, and certainly your microscopic particles would stand out like Belisha Beacons.........Certainly?
