<< Are you sure it's me that wants it both ways? Remember you said how the stock was purchased at a nice discount to the market (it did close 10/31 at 3 1/8) but now they did it near the bottom. Make up your mind. >>

$2.35/share was pretty close to the bottom. They might not have had to pay 3 1/8 like you and I would have had to do. (I can't say for sure, there wasn't much deatils). I was using the $2.35 figure, but 3 1/8 is a lot closer to 2 then it is to 6.

<< Which positive news releases were there that propelled the stock forward? >>

I haven't seen any positive press releases from FIBR. I was referring to what I've heard bulls refer to as positive press releases.

<< Perhaps you mean the 1/5/98 when they announced Net+Arm? That's about 2 months after this private placement. >>

What, are they going to do it the next day? That would look realllly bad. 2 months is close enough when you consider the stock had been sliding for a year and a half.

<< That's a nice negative spin >>

What do you think I'm here for? I leave the positive spins to people like you.

<< Why would it be less valid to say that they thought the company
was a great investment and put themselves first in line to buy the shares? >>

The operative word is "themselves". They are only interested in "themselves".

<< Do you think perhaps Osicom management paid the Forrester report to print that squib about CSCO? >>

I have no clue. If you post a link to the article I will read it.

<< If you care to go back on this thread you'll find I thought they'd never (nor should they ever)
buyback share #1 of that announced buyback, that that release was a "vote of confidence"
release. I'll bet you know that the majority of "authorized" share buybacks never occur. >>

What you optimistically call a vote of confidence I call "hype". It goes to credibility, management should walk the talk. I haven't read this thread in months so I didn't see your comments.

In summation:

Barb, your nitpicking because you don't have effective counters to my argument.

There is no shame in switching over from the long to the short side. In fact you will look brilliant for being open minded enough to change your position and profit when FIBR tanks. Of course I don't expect you to do that because it is too painful to admit you might have misjudged this company. You would rather go down in defeat with your friends on the long side than do the prudent thing.

Dare to be different Barb! Show leadership by opening your mind up and re-evaluating this company. Others will follow if you have the courage to change your mind.

Just remember it is always easier to follow the crowd instead of doing the right thing.
