Litore, thank you for responding. I'll have to search how to log into my router, don't remember ever doing that, but think my Xfinity modem doubles as the router if I understand the configuration. It has both 5G and 2.4G. I use the 5G almost exclusively on my laptop.

The problem of it acting like a dial-up is downloading large files, they take forever. But YT videos load and play normally - at least most of the time. But loading SI messages can take a long time. I have to hit the refresh button often to get those and other websites to give me a fresh page. I use Chrome.
