Roger, kind of fun to see a bunch of lawyers tripping over their precisely worded almost-denials, eh? But will it really "be different this time"? Clinton and the market have a lot in common - most acknowledge both the sleaze factor and the overvaluation, but few care much about either. Perhaps the crisis of leadership will change the general mood of this nation of investors, but who knows. Even I had to laugh and cringe at Bob Barr's rather premature calls for impeachment hearings (Why draw the masses to the defense of their Pres before any charges can be substantiated? Newt's "let's wait to see the evidence" approach is smarter and more statesmanlike).

BTW, what aspect of the whole mess would actually cause market fear, Clinton being disgraced or Gore being Pres?

Bob
