In the end, it looks like we will have a bigger footprint in Syria than we had before Trump green lit a parade of horribles. But without the allies, good will, and strategic advantages we had a few weeks ago.

And Trump intends it to last for decades to protect the oil fields. The oil fields that NO US oil company will sign up to exploit.
