A lot of people these days have a frivolous view to religion and that makes them vulnerable in a number of ways. Those who have a different religious view from my own are OK in my book. I respect their views and avoid getting into entanglements with them usually. That is why I never bothered looking at the detail of Ickes views. I know very well that on the surface most people have found him ridiculous and laughable. It just so happens they don't take the subject of religion very seriously either. So, I dont know if that clarifies my pov at all ? I don't mind you harping on about Icke, I can laugh at these things as easily as anyone, but if you find the subject upsetting, perhaps leave the Icke & reptilian subject alone. It's not my belief... and I think you know that too. In both England and Scotland, most towns are absolutely chock a block with churches. I do ask people why do they think religion was so popular back then (before say about 1920) , and the answers are usually along the lines of ... "we know so much more now". That is an absolute classic trap imho... It just goes to show me the stuff that is taught in the Bible and elsewhere is on the mark. People say the most silly things about the bible. Not a good sign. On the other hand, both Religion and the Bible have been used as a method of controlling a population, and that is why heresy was viewed as such a terrible crime in times gone by ... for example. So some of the rejection is a natural aversion from manipulative & authoritative control (imho). Some rulers do allow freedom of Religion, and I think that is a good thing.
