Hey Harold, following are my opinions ......

I too have IDT and I do not believe many businesses will run to get hooked up. I believe that Franklin (FTEL) along with DCI Communications (DCTC) will be able to offer much more. I do not see how any company can propose to offer what I heard in Dayton for the amount I pay to IDT. I have often wondered if IDT is simply targeting us for some long distance service. I have no knowledge of any hardware which IDT has nor of any Privilege Card owned by them. They may have both, but are they the creators or re-sellers? I believe they are resellers.

Now, if you take one piece of any part of the intricate FTEL/DCTC proposition and include FNET in the equation; you can find competition. BUT, if you take ALL the pieces together, there is NO complete competition that I know of. I guess the closest may be UUNET (check its valuation before it got bought out by the BIG BOYS ). So, my biggest wish now is that I could unload a couple of investments and buy more stock into this emerging situation. I use IDTC's and others valuations as an "industry barometer" and I think it very pertinent what it has been valued at. I sometimes wonder if people really understand what this investment could mean.

When I get a chance I am going to try to post why I personally
believe FTEL/DCTC may surprise many people. Actually, SHOCK may be a better word.

All of this talk about so called competition is somewhat amusing to me. If somebody can show me an exact duplicate business plan WITH a pending IPO I may see things differently. But, I do not think anybody can show me that. Here is what I do..... I look at each potential and present market each company has then I look at the valuation of that particular company. Take FAX as an example - and all I can see is a server and contracts for services and/or transmission worth about $8.00 to $20.00 + per share (from my memory). FAX looks like peanuts to me when I compare them to the FTEL/DCTC/FNET thing. Now what do you think of the valuation of US Robotics? UUNET? etc. etc. etc.

What is lacking here is the recognition factor but that should come as
more and more news is released. Many are reading these news announcements and trying to figure them out....In time some BIG BOYS
besides WCOM & GTE may indeed figure it out and when they do, look out. I think this situation can catch the recognition and the investment dollars over time. It will help when it gets listed on the Nasdaq Small Cap as it will "alert" those that haven't yet been alerted. I ask myself all the time....Where do you want to be the day it gets discovered?.... My answer to myself has always been POSITIONED.

I will not allow myself to get hung up on any one part of this plan,
then get all upset because there may appear to be competition.
I think for me it is better to understand all the parts first then to envision them making a WHOLE. That is why I think it to be very important to research and call the companies. Look at how the small pitures make a BIG PORTRAIT so to speak. The implication that both of these companies apparently want to stand on their own makes the whole thing more appealing to me.

I could be wrong of course, BUT I don't think so.....
The above are just my opinions.

Regards,
Debra
