Maddow had a cool piece last night. Last year, after Russia rammed a Ukrainian ship and took its sailors hostage, the White House released a statement that the meeting between Putin and Trump at the G-20 was canceled. After all, Russia committed an act of war. Then, Russia had a press release which said Putin and Trump would meet. They did meet. Trump has no control over his own destiny. He has to wait until Putin literally tells him what to say and do.
