<<when the future president was divorcing his first wife and faced ruinous debt.>>
Yep it's tough chit when your rich... or supposed to be rich, and have a big ego to nurture.
It's almost as bad as being really poor.
When your in the middle, it's easier to dodge the bullets usually.
<<Icke's reptilian ET's aren't religious, they're "scientific.">>
Yeah ok..
Just got this off Tony Hellers Blog which I thought was good.
"Science is the belief in the ignorance of the experts." — Richard Feynman
I would describe Ickes "Science" as a religion. it's a belief.
Anyway back to poetry. Scotland has all sorts of famous poets, and one of them is famed and honored as being the worst poet. He had many admirers and true friends too. It's just one of those things... you cant have truly great poets unless you have some bad ones too. -g-
I offer you the frightening spectacle of the Tay Bridge disaster.

As you can see William McGonagall's poems are still preserved and even honoured.
The Scots are not in the least concerned their historic body of poetic works is tainted in any way.
Reviewing the body of McGonagalls work, they are weapons of worst poetry. -g-
I see Icke's science or religious views in the same vein as those works of William McGonagall. Not only that, Icke has achieved some good work and influence too. He is well traveled and has debated many people. I have watched several interviews of him by people I follow, and he came up in a good light in all of them. Even his second interview by Wogan came out much better. In fact I would say Wogan starts to get into deep water where he does not know what he is talking about... you can see it on his face -g-

What it is, I believe, is that some people are scared of him, and there is no reason I can think of why that should be so.
oh waiddaminute...

Icke is not being dumb here, at all. maybe that is why some folks are a little scared of him... he leads them into the unknown.
You are talking to a traditional anarchist lefty type here, but who also lived in good means in the USA, so I am a little more experienced then some. Frankly I much prefer to see a good politician in power of the right wing rather then a not quite so good one from the left wing. It's the team that support them that is more of a concern to me. Bureaucrats have important jobs to do, and jobs that require skill, but should not replace the natural market where possible. I will support Jeremy Corbyn in the UK election (for example) but what worries me is the jumped up Stalins and worse still, jumped up Stalinettes, who think they know what they are doing, or even know whats best. JC is an able politician, but its the support team I am concerned about. For example, I post this link to those who think new technology does not have it's concerns. I challenge anyone who calls themselves a scientist or an electronic engineer here to say these concerns are of no consequence. The debate will get very professional indeed, and fairly quickly.
This one is about 15 mins or so. youtube.com
This one will take a little while to watch. Just the first 5 minutes tells a good scientic story. A very obvious question is hackers... but never mind them... This one is enlightening to some.

and lets go out on a limb a little.

but lets see what my DNA results say -g-
According to some of my USA relatives who have had their DNA read, I am a little bit Neanderthal.
