Lagarde, new ECB president, calls for Investment stimulus

Well timed because they highlight the urgent need for a policy handoff that focuses both on demand stimulus and pro-growth supply-side measure.

Significant because it’s unusual for an incoming ECB chief, indeed any central bank head, to venture into the politically-charged area of fiscal policy.
