Let's not forget that the issue of guilt centers around whether or
not Clinton committed perjury in denying an extramarital affair,
not in the existence or not of the affair. Perjury is a federal
crime and does warrant impeachment. OTOH I could not care less about
whether or not he acutally had the affair. America is not a
theocracy (thank god) where arbitrary morality rules are enforced
with real legal weight. Adultery is not a crime in this country.
Go live in Iran or Iraq or some other nightmare if you want to
impose your morals on everybody else (by "you" I don't mean R.D.
Buschman, I'm just waxing polemic).

Anyway, given the scandal over whether a sitting president will be
impeached, how can this affect the stock market? Will economic
performance of corporations be affected? I think not, so any
dips should be good buying opportunities for the long-term investor.
Unless you give any credence to the idea that the President exerts
any influence over the health of the economy (though he always
takes credit when things are good, as they have been).

By the way, Roger, you are not alone, I voted for Clinton too.
Even though he is for all intents and purposes a Republican.
Corporations pretty much do what they want regardless of who's in
power, and I object to the Right's "morality" play for the "soul" of America.
