OT - Had some cousins from Nebraska that I had never met before, come to my second annual ( now annual,
1st Sat of Aug. ) Felix reunion ( anyone from my Grandfather Ray on down ). They have chickens but had
never seen anything like it. Had to take them to the basement and show them how the 6hp shop vac fills my
15 gallon drum with coal easily, with no dust.

It has become something many of my relatives look forward to. Made a 16lb brisket on the Kamado Joe.

Grew a bed of hibiscus this year for the first time. We did have one plant before, but now many more colors and sizes.
I've saved about 1000 seeds and plan to start them and give them away at the end of the driveway.

Only new project this year was to better heat my greenhouse in the spring. Plywood for in the mud room
window with a circular hole for 8" flex duct. No idea where I picked up the powerful 8" fan, but I build a box for
it and attached the flex duct to it. It definitely moves some air, and with a heat vent in the mud room, should
work well.

I was beaten by a mile on chicken doors: bing.com

Yeah! Time once again for me to yell TAR, and my grandson to yell HEELS.

Oh, the weird guy did do one other thing. Replaced some deck boards for my daughter, and decided to
make a barn swallow condo. Mom and pop built a nest on top one of our garage door openers and have
come back four years in a row. This year, some of their kids I guess, built on the other opener, and then
another set build at the other end of the window shown left here. Right on top the curtain rod.
I may be the only nut that leaves his garage door up all summer. I try and be neat though. Notice the
brackets where the poop board will go. Afraid if I put it there too early they will build on it.

I like to see the little guys turn around and put their butts over the edge and poop. They are born
much smarter than we are.
