RR, I totally agree with you. I am holding. Yesterday bought some more at 13.5; buy on the way up as they say, gg.m I asked my self, if this stock goes to 20+ do I buy it at 13.5 or 20? The answer was easy. Yesterday I glanced at the Vivus in single digits board. The loosers are commenting about " how we, Vivusites over here, get all excited about looking at things to come " rather than concentrating on Vivus current 25% production shortfall ( ie history ).Totally missing the point that ALL investments should be FORWARD looking: next week, month, year. Only then can you do well. IMHO right now, we are retracing the Jan/1997 steps of Vivus when it was 14. At that time, when it darted out the door, if it had enough production, that would have easily gotten it to 50 & we might have had a 2nd split by now. Well we are a year late, but I think this is it. Where else are you going to put your money in? All the leaders have fallen, indiscriminately, because of Asia. That and job tightening concerns and wage pressures will worry this market to death next several months. Where are people going to get 25+ returns they've been used to? This is where the Jan effect comes with big money going after small cap stocks with fast growth curves; especially US companies insulated from Asia concers ( Vivus ): Abby Joseph Cohen has been talking about that for months now. With big money coming in nobody will be able to keep Vivus down. Nobody in his right mind would short a stock that millions of little investors didn't even know about till Jan 31st AT&T Pebble Classic. They'll start buying 200- 300 shares each; the little guy; others will buy more 1000, 5000 shares. with MCA approval and sales soaring the shorts must be really short sighted to short this one. They may! In which case we may see the biggest short I mean bonfire ever. As a short investment I doubt this was the great deal it was touted to be .If we assume that most shorts sold at 30s and will cover in 16-25, they will only make 10-20 ponints on average; considering they held less than a year , after 40% tax rate I don't think it is that great of a return. The trick with this stock now is to have the cahones to hold past 20 and 30 because IMHO it will go to 50+. Viagra will only help the sales. Most current MUSE users will just add the pill to it, for good measure. Only then you might possibly see " Tarzan ". The shorts this coming week are going to have a tough decision to make: Do they cover now or do they want to wait until Jan 31st ( or Feb 1st ) until an excited horde of investors look at the whit of their eyes and take pot shots at close range and blow them out of the water not at 16 or 20 but it could be much higher, especially if there is a short squeeze.
