The euphoria over the Kentucky governor race is generally misplaced. Bevin is uniquely hated... so much so, that several heavily Republican counties went for Beshear. I don't think that election can be used as any kind of marker for 2020. Plus it looks like the GOP Legislature may pull a fast one anyway. Wouldn't put it past them. They're probably consulting with ALEC lawyers even as we speak. usatoday.com
