AFAIK, extortion is the taking of money (or some property of value) by force or through the use of threats.

Exactly what did Trump do that was extortion?

Extortion was, for example, when Obama threatened BP if they didn’t pay $30 billion cash up front after the Gulf Spill. Or, for example, when he threatened lenders with failed financial tests if they didn’t take care of the GM unions with equity.

That sort of thing.
