Put aside for a moment that under Trump's reign, North Korea has now been able to develop submarines capable of launching nuclear weapons at our cities from right off our coast line (while Trump continues to write love letters to Kim Jong Un), or that job creation has dropped 1.2 million since he took office, or that the GDP growth is worse than 63 years out of the last 89 year, etc. etc., now he's also taking credit for cutting the number of apprehensions at our Southern border by half.

Here's the real scoop....
January, 2017 - 42,359 apprehensions
May, 2019 - 144,116 apprehensions

So then on September 10, 2019, Ken Cuccinelli boasts that, "because of Trump's leadership", "border crossings dropped by more than 50 percent over the last three months".

September, 2019 - 62,707 apprehensions (still 150% higher than it was when Trump took office).

Trump, instead of dealing with the problem at it's source, like he should have - like other presidents would have - chose to instead "deal" with the problem by putting women and children in cages. Trump was/is lazy and stupid, and as a result, despite his claiming that he cut border crossings in half, more illegals are coming across today than have crossed since back in 2013.

Just another of Trump's many, many failures.
