Tip of the week: Keep an eye on Upper Canada Brewing Company (TSE-UCB)

The stock went public earlier this year at $8, rose to $8.50 in a matter of hours and has since "crashed" to $3.85. The 52-week high is $8.50 and the low is $3.71.

Many mutual funds with the finest fund mangers bought into the issue at $8 and are still holding it. I bought some yesterday at $3.90 with the intent of selling it between $6 - $7/share. Daily volume is in the 100's making it non-liquid and a P/E that is non-existent (i.e less than zero). Patient investors in my opinion will be rewarded with a 25% gain over the next six to nine months if not 50%.

For Steve who likes to ask what this has to to with NOVL? Well Steve, it depends on what you plan on doing the day after IF NOVL falls into the single digits or lifts off like a rocket or if your spouse (in particular, the aggressive wife) finds out how much dough you have lost in this stock. Upper Canada Brewing as the name suggests brews fine Canadian beer right here in Toronto. Many of us just may go out and buy a truckload of this stuff.

V.K

P.S I don't drink alcohol beverages.
