I'd also like to see how Dems would react if they had a particularly charismatic candidate and FOX decided to ban political ads.

You are apparently bound and determined to see this as a partisan thing rather than a hygiene thing or a national security thing or a liability thing or whatever. The government is not doing it, Twitter is only one venue, and the rules apply to everyone.

I don't participate in Twitter or Facebook or any of the others. You can't go in there and just look around without signing up so my feel for it is limited. I didn't even know they had ads as distinguished from chatter. So maybe I'm just ignorant and missing something. I try to avoid having opinions on things I know too little about to have a supportable one so I'm just fishing here. I simply don't see what charisma has to do with it. As for your comparison, I wouldn't think that Fox would be comparable to Twitter because Fox has a relatively narrow viewership compared to Twitter participants.
