O.T.
Has anyone else noticed how very long and often very boring many multi seasons cable and network shows have become. The so called “binge worthy” programs. It is nice to see these programs having time to develop characters and plots but when they are too long, which most are these days, it is hard to keep the story interesting.

I think this is the big downside to unlimited time to tell a story with these cable shows. House of Cards, Mr Robot and many others starting out very interesting then they became boring and you wanted to watch until the end but it was often difficult, the same problem for all of them, Too much time.

This reminds me of the often mentioned and similar problem in software design. Years ago there was very limited space (ram) to write the program so they had to be very creative, now it is often said software programs are bloated and inefficient because programmers have unlimited space to work with.

More Is Not Always Better.
