Christine,

I have to admit...I want the accusations to be true and Clinton to be "nailed" on this. What I am concerned about is if Starr did not take every precaution to ensure an almost air-tight case against the slickster..than Bill could come out of this fearing absolutely nothing. Every battle he wins, Travel gate, phone gate, Arlington Cemetary, White Water, campaign contributions, etc, etc..only makes him stronger and more arrogant.

There may be some political motivation behind some of the charges...but I don't believe it is all purely political.

It's funny, but I was listening to a program like "crossfire" a few nights ago and a participant said something to the effect that "if the Republicans are successful in bringing Clinton down then the Democrats will have their turn if a Republican becomes president." I pray to God this gumba is wrong...I don't recall the Republicans hunting Democrats when Nixon was "nailed." I may be off on this, but I seem to recall the Republicans turning on Nixon rather quickly.

Again..I still believe we need to HEAR all the evidence..I just hope Starr has enough ammo to offset the character attacks that will surely chase anyone crossing paths with Clinton.

I only saw a couple of minutes of Jay last night...missed the item your talking about...but got a kick out of how even his dog is distancing himself from Bill "yeah..I know the guy and played ball with him a couple of times, but...." Also..did you see the comparisons between Clinton and Nixon..the last was the best "Nixon nickname = Tricky Dick. Clinton nickname = no difference."

Better go.
