The reason that is stupid is because the vast majority of cases of voter fraud occurs in conjunction with absentee ballots. ID cards would do nothing about that. All ID cards do is present an obstacle for people to vote. It is yet another form of voter suppression, like the literacy tests of yesteryear which were finally outlawed after decades of successful suppression.

Which, if you were being honest with yourself and the board, you would acknowledge.
