"Supporting our democracy and electing and working for the best politicians... is the most important thing a person can do." "Most of my clan spent a life time in politics helping make this a better country." Politics doesn't make this a better country; at the moment, I'm inclined to think it makes us worse. Actions make us a better country. Giving money to feed the hungry is doing something. Saying we need to feed the hungry does nothing but it makes you feel good. Saying we need to shelter the homeless does nothing. This is what doing something looks like.
