I can remember when I was a young sailor in San Diego in the early 70's there was no love for veterans or active military. You were almost spit on by locals. How things have changed.

I wonder how many Vietnam era vets feel cheated. When they came home from their war there were no cheers or salutes or signs of respect. Just a lot if anonymity and distrust for serving your country.

Honestly I think things are a little over done at times As if the country is trying to make up for how badly and treated veterans in the 60-70's.
