Has anyone else noticed how very long and often very boring many multi seasons cable and network shows have become.

It's not as recent as we think. The wife and I did a re-binge (is that a word?) on Twin Peaks earlier this month. The last 20 episodes (not the 25 year later remake) were mostly filler and side stories that never went anywhere.

We're undecided on signing up for Showtime for a month to download the remake of 25 years later.
