Yeah, of course. Let's not allow the accused to put on any contrary testimony.

This is the gimmick. Paint it as a Grand Jury where the accused has no rights at all. When was the last time a president was "investigated" for impeachment by committee claiming it was operating like a Grand Jury? Link, please?
