Yesterday we had our first real snow of the year. I wasn't sure how Meeka was going to take to the snow, seeing how this is her first winter with us and that she hates water, but it turned out that she absolutely loves playing in snow. Even with nothing to do, she just frolics in snow and discovers various scents and things buried under it. Anyway, yesterday I was in the backyard playing with my daughter, and of course Meeka runs to join in. decided to have fun teasing the poor dog. I made a snowball and threw it. Meeka ran after it and then...???...the confused look...where did the ball disappear to? Another ball another throw. She runs and this time finds the snowball using her sense of smell. But now comes the fun part of trying bring it back in its mouth. LOL! Probably not a nice thing to do, but it was funny. I wish someone had filmed it. She's a smart dog and realized the snowball thing is not going to work for her. So she grabbed one of her toys from the backyard and made us chase her trying to take it from her. We all had a lot of fun.
