I've been to 3 presentations over the past 8 mths and have seen two key developments.
1.The technology has sinificantly advanced to the point where it is ready to be downloaded on all new digital cable boxes as soon as they are deployed.
2. The coverage afforded this co. by Wall Street is growing as evidenced by the attendance of most of the major houses the other night.
The hardware and operating systems agreements had to happen before software applications such as SRCM's could be decided. Considering the pace of activity in the industry since December, I'm hoping the next few mths. bring SRCM's announcing those MSO agreements.
They have enough cash for at least 2 years by which time a large number of digital boxes should be rolled out . The cable co's will need content to sell and SRCM's is of low cost to them while providing multiple new potential revenue streams.
I think our patience for a little longer will be rewarded.
