He who laughs last laughs loudest. Your Republican party is finished and you can blame Trump. He showed the world the dark and criminal underbelly of the Republican party with his idiocy and hubris. That is why the women, kids and minorities are fleeing and all you have left are a bunch of people living in the last century, and as they die off your power will steadily decline until the Republicans are nothing more than a bunch of angry people howling at the moon, as they were today at the end of the impeachment hearing. The country is about to march into a new century, of humanity and intelligence led by the women, kids and minorities. And all you will be able to do is huddle in dark places and watch. The Republican party cannot fool the people any more. Once people see, they do not unsee.
