Try this from my previous post:

We also make our own dog food as a once a day (small) additive to kibbles. This varies from liver, kidney, ground beef pork, fish plus always some carrots or sweet potato. Really depends on what is on sale / what we have in the fridge or freezer.

Just a couple of spoon fulls once a day. Just to make it "special". Start with small quantities and see how she reacts. Some dogs love liver, kidneys, heart whatever. Others don't.

Just have fun with it and don't get stressed out about it. Mika will tell you what works and what doesn't. No different than kids. One day they hate vegetables, next day they become vegetarians :-)
