So that particular article was not about the evolution, whatever the journalist may have tried to sell. It was actually about how using cell phones is promoting bad posture which in turn is causing bone spur to grow in the neck.

But the one that I didn't post, regarding female selection (UK women) is about evolution. Contrary to popular belief, it does not take eons to evolve.

For example, not too long ago a species of bird (some kind of swallow, I think) split its migration path. Some went to UK from Africa, while others continued their original path to a much farther country. Over a period of 20 - 30 years, the wings of the UK path birds became shorter and rounder which allowed for better maneuvering, while the other ones remained long and sharp which is suitable for long distances.

Sometimes it takes even less time. A series of unusually sever storms caused salamanders in tropical islands to have a more aerodynamic bodies and longer hind legs that allows them to hang on to the trees better during hurricanes.
