Lucent's CEO & Chairman was on CNBC the other day and he mentioned that Bell Labs invented one of the first MPEG-2 chips. i just assumed that meant Lucent had its own solution. Lucent's CEO did indicate that they would be involved in set top boxes and inferred that there would be an announcement shortly. I think that there is some question as to whether CUBE will participate in the pending big deals in set top boxes; and this may be part of the reason the stock is down today. It could be that CUBE is close to making a deal as far as set top boxes are concerned an Alex did not want to jinks the deal by mentioning it.
