A couple of months ago, I took a look BP, thought it was undervalued + was interested in how it would supply China with Oil/NG/LNG via partnership in Siberia with Rosneft....

It appears that the Russian government has taken steps to pay for keeping the ice out of shipping channels from Yamal and other areas via their growing Icebreaker Class-9 fleet.

I follow the Boats/Containers/Ports/Airports/Railroads guys reasonably close.....Starting to see several Boat companies talk about the shorter routes through the ice areas in their investor presentations....even if the GSM brings back colder weather/ heavy ice....

I decided to pass on BP.....Not in any rush whatsoever.......

Just some thoughts...

I wonder if investing in future energy demand in India or Latin America might be a better way to go?

India still not ready for prime-time.....Not modernizing/ramping up demand enough? When things settle (sanctions/trade disputes) they will probably take most energy imports from ME & Australia...Not USA?

I have looked at some of the smaller LPG Shippers (niche market types) that have access to many, many more of the ports in India and SW/SE Asia, ports that the larger LNGC & VLGC boats cannot access....Outfits like Epic Gas mostly short haul types / sort of NG shuttle boats.

Outside of my roll-overs and Chevron, I don't currently have much direct exposure to South American Energy supply/demand.....Wonder if they have utilized most (if not all) of the hydro power resources available? Have been thinking of starting positions in Naturgy & Enagas but so far, can't quite get myself past their debt levels!

Anyway....Need to keep reading / adding ideas to tracking portfolios....Maybe ETF route may be the way to go....
