We liberals didn't miss it, we have been powerless, as the nation for the last 50 years has been controlled most of the time by Republicans supported en masse by the south and rural areas that hate liberals and our ideology and vote against us in every single election.

Almost no liberals have been voted into office in rural states for the last 50 years.

And the Republicans have been running the country into the ground with primitive ideas just like they do in rural states e.g. Kansas where Brownback destroyed their economy and school system with his onerous tax cuts for the rich, or where they Republicans have refused to expand Medicaid for the poor, have busted unions and cut social safety nets like food stamps.

We liberals have been powerless for 50 years and not had a chance to put forward our ides, but that is changing quickly now as Trump has shown the alert folks just how corrupt he and the Republicans are.

An analysis done just two weeks ago shows that if Trump lost every state he is now under water in, the Democrats would win 387 electoral votes and the Republicans 151!

PS, and all we liberals want to do is apply modern social science to our government's social programs.
