Bern'd Swan-

i agree with your comments about being more specific.

some people generalize and then present specific and/or absolute
conclusions which may or may not be correct. it's okay, if you know
how to read them. :-)

in regards to expanding the formal school infrastructure (pre-school thru
University) and making it available to ALL for free, here are some
observations and a possible forecast for what's coming:

while some are absolute about the power and need for a traditional
educational system for ALL, i lean toward an internet based educational
system (with online tutors if needed) that teaches the fundamentals of
SELF-study and promotes SELF-learning, while at the same time teaching
the value of networking, teamwork and cooperation

it's already here NOW. it's on the world wide web. GOOGLE IT.
ASK ALEXA... How do I learn new stuff? Where are people and teams to help me?<G>

society is evolving almost as fast as technology these days... not much
of society is unaffected by new tech. but most of our social systems are
obsolete NOW... including school systems but especially government systems.

with the advent of the IOT (internet of things) and 5G cellular technology
we are quickly moving into the age of total transparency. like it or HATE it,
eventually almost ALL data about ALL things and ALL people will be accessible.

might it be most advantageous to develop A. I. with quantum computing powers
to analyze the data as quickly as possible for decision making in our growth,
or even our survival as a species?

i think politicians calling for the expansion of our "existing educational infrastructure"
are way behind the curve of the horizon. our schools are obsolete NOW. you can't run
today's country or business on yesterday's information and expect to survive. you have
to know what's happening in the NOW to effectively plan for the next step.

"existing educational infrastructure" should begin evolving ASAP into the new matrix
of the NOW.

what's your take on the future value of knowledge and how to get it? <g>
