Like I said, you do not understand we liberals and our thinking. And it doesn't even occur to you to wonder why are most scientists liberals? They are the most educated people in the country and they chose to be liberals and Democrats over Republicans by 80% to 6%

You should wonder why that is!!! There are specific reasons.

But your worst idea, is thinking societies run themselves. That is really a nutso idea.

If that was the case, we would not have had a history of so much war and social discord.

Do you even realize it was the invention of ethics and republics that gave us the wonderful order and safety we have today? It seems not.

Governments job is to administer a society for the greatest benefit of all. The nuts and bolts you cannot even realize is things like city planning departments, road, sewers, safe drinking water and food. Caring for the children, aged and sick, police, fire and military among a zillion other things a society needs to do.

And it takes people skilled in those things to run a healthy society.

Trump is not skilled in any of that!

You and many Republicans don't seem to even realize the role of society in their own welfare.

Be honest, you see the government as some sort of super-provider of goods and services.

The job of the US government is to provide a platform where by your own efforts you can serve yourself free from invaders and looters.

You want government to serve you a turkey dinner and then tuck you in with a warm glass of cocoa while Eleanor Roosevelt sings you a lullaby.

With you it is all about free goods and services at the expense and inconvenience of someone else.

When I think liberal I think of a monkey on someone’s back.
